Intelligence is defined as the ability to understand or comprehend, but there is only one type, but various types. Traditionally, intelligence knew this one had several degrees. But in 1983 Howard Gardner, American psychologist broad concept and added that intelligence is a capacity development, not just something innate to solve problems. Formulated the term "multiple intelligences" which are grouped in 9 types of intelligence.
1 .- logical-mathematical intelligence: is what we use to solve problems of logic and mathematics. Erroneously that we had always considered the only intelligence of the scientists. Use the logical hemisphere of the brain.
2 .- Linguistic intelligence: It's with writers, poets. Use both hemispheres. They say it's one of the most important.
3 .- Spatial Intelligence: It's with sailors, engineers, surgeons, architects and decorators. Is to form a mental model of the world in 3 dimensions. 4 .-
musical intelligence: is naturally that of the singers, songwriters, musicians and dancers. Commonly known as "good ear". Needs to be encouraged to develop their full potential. 5 .-
bodily-kinesthetic intelligence: is the athletes, craftspeople, surgeons or dancers. It is the ability to use the body to perform activities or solve problems. 6 .-
intrapersonal intelligence: It allows us to understand ourselves. Not associated with any particular activity.
7 .- Interpersonal intelligence: It allows us to understand others and we often find vendors, politicians, teachers or therapists. The great leaders have it for good or for evil.
8 .- Emotional Intelligence: is formed by the intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence. Together determine our ability to manage our lives successfully. Ie used to solve problems related to emotions. Although it may seem unimportant is very valid to make sound decisions or to delete the nerves before an exam.
9 .- Naturalist Intelligence: is we use when we observe and study nature. The biologists found in or herbalists.
